How Can I Make Contact with My Loved One?

I have found that simply asking God for my loved one's presence, lighting a candle and reading a little bit of Scripture opens me up to contact. The Psalms are especially helpful. Also soaking in some soothing bath oils or salts before initiating contact also helps relax you. Soft new-age music, without words, is also recommended. And simply relax in the silence and wait for your loved one's presence.

At other times, I suggest to simply talk to your loved one out loud - as though he/she were there. Eventually, you will experience contact.

Ask what your loved one is doing in Heaven - and ask them to give you impressions of it. Sit back quietly and allow these impressions to "wash over you." You might also ask them to take you on a "tour" of where they are - either during your meditation or during your dreams.

Another thing that Jim taught me - and just recently, I have begin to share this with others and they are saying it works for them too! So here goes: Just raise your arms with your palms either upward or outward and speak to your loved one. You may be surprised at what you get in your arms!

Most of all, be patient. It is very difficult to achieve this type of communication if you are not relaxed and receptive. And once you have experienced contact, do not doubt that it happened - for doubt leads to despair and depression.

Trust in the Lord, do good...and He shall give thee the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:3&4

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:34
