At some point, there are going to be some individuals who question whether these experiences (afterdeath communications) are indeed real. The questioner may be a skeptic or even a believer in God. But have no doubt, your experiences will be questioned.

Others may not question the experience as real, but may cast doubts that these experiences are a gift from God and/or that the person with whom you are having contact with is truly that person - or a demon.

There is a simple and easy way to discern whether these experiences are a gift from God and that is by examining your life. How is your relationship to God before the experience and after? By having contact with your loved one, are you closer to God and more grateful to Him? Are you experiencing more peace within yourself? (Keep in mind that initially contact may confuse us as we grapple with the so-called unexplainable. But legitimate ADCs will tend to comfort and console us on a very positive level.)   Perhaps you have been moved to pray and read Sacred Scripture on a more regular basis than ever before? If the answer is yes, then it seems that the test of the fruits of the Spirit as found in Galatians 5:22 is validated.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.
